Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, also known as Burnaboy, reacts in a post to Nigerians who criticize him for not participating in the electoral process.
It will be remembered that the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker revealed why he remained silent throughout the election despite his politically charged songs.
Despite the ongoing backlash, the musician felt compelled to address the issue once more.
Burnaboy stated on his verified Instagram page’s insta-stories section that he has never received money or other tangible presents from any government.
He stated that all he has done for his country has always been from a place of love.
He claims he owes no one anything and that he did not vote in the election and that people should leave him alone.
“I’ve never made money from any Nigerian administration, and I’ve never taken any house, land, or money from any governor,” Burnaboy added. I’ve never been elected to a public office and never planned to be. All I do to help my country comes from my heart, pockets, time, and emotions. It’s not for social media approval, and it’s certainly not because I owe anyone anything. I neither say I nor vote. Make sure everyone getsat.”
