She was interested in a man and eager to pursue a relationship with him, but her friend advised her against it, unaware that she had other intentions.

“I was astounded to learn that my friend is getting married to the man she advised me to break up with.”
She expressed shock and dismay that she had heeded her friend’s advise to leave the man, only for her friend to follow in her footsteps and even marry him.
