After years of being passed over by women due to his height, Kwoyela Derick, a Cameroonian man, has finally found love.

The 39-year-old instructor and his 28-year-old girlfriend, Kahboh Patience, began dating in January 2022.
In an interview with MMI, Derick stated that Patience is his life’s love and that he wants her to be the mother of his children.

“I was drawn to her character. “She is ideal because she respects me and is also God-fearing,” he said.

He claims that his community is quite intolerant of people with height defects like him, and that most people do not associate with him, let alone marry him.

Patience, he claims, has received several negative comments from skeptics, including her friends, about her decision to marry him.

“One of our biggest challenges came when we were planning to marry. “Her friends and some close to her were complaining and asking why she was marrying a short man like me,” Derick explained.

Despite the criticisms and stereotyping, the couple has weathered all of the storms and plans to marry.

“I have promised to look after my wife. I want our story to be an inspiration to everyone, especially those who have given up on love. “There is a chance for us all, and someone special,” he said.

Their traditional wedding is set for April 6, 2023, in Bali Nyonga, and their white wedding is set for April 8, 2023, in Bamenda.

Patience, a seamstress by trade, stated that she is willing to stand by her man “for better or for worse.”
